Die gläserne Brücke zwischen dem Verwaltungsgebäude und dem Magazinneubau markiert den neuen Eingangsbereich.Was zuerst wie eine Irritation in der gleichmäßig gegliederten Glaswand wirkt, zeigt eine Fülle von Archivbehältnissen
und das Wesen des Baukomplexes – Transparenz.
Der Innenhof bleibt als stilles Zentrum gewahrt. Groß und streng markieren zwei lange Regale
die Tiefe des Raums. Sie sind gefüllt mit Ordnern, Kästen, Filmrollen, wie sie im Inneren
des neuen Magazinbaus stehen, tragen auch Signaturen. Nur: sie sind durchsichtig, Sinnbild
für die Funktion dieses Ortes. Im Blick der Vorbeigehenden gerät ihre Struktur in Bewegung.

The glass bridge between the administrative building and the new magazine building
will mark the new entrance area. What first appeares an irritation in the uniformly
articulated glass wall shows an abundance of archive containers and the essence
of the building complex – transparency.
The courtyard remains a silent center. Two long shelves mark big and straight
the depth of the room. They are filled with folders, boxes, film rolls, as they are
inside the new magazine building, have signatures too. Only: they are transparent,
represent the function of this place. In the eyes of the passers their structure is moving …
